Telehealth ABA Therapy

Flexible ABA Support Delivered Through Secure Virtual Sessions

Telehealth ABA therapy provides structured, real-time support through secure video sessions. It allows children to work on communication, behavior, and daily living skills with guidance from a trained therapist, all from the comfort of home.

Why Choose Telehealth?

Telehealth ABA therapy offers flexible, consistent support from home for children with autism, making it easier to maintain care during scheduling challenges, transportation barriers, illness, weather disruptions, or other family needs.

What Is Telehealth ABA Therapy?

Telehealth ABA therapy is delivered through secure video sessions led by our clinical team. We work directly with the child and caregiver using guided activities, coaching, and structured practice to build meaningful skills.

Sessions follow an individualized plan and focus on helping children learn through interaction, repetition, and real-time support. Caregivers are often involved to help reinforce skills during and between sessions.

Telehealth is commonly used for parent coaching, BCBA supervision, and helping families access ABA therapy when in-home services are not the best fit due to distance, scheduling needs, illness, transportation barriers, or other family circumstances. Sessions are designed to help families maintain consistent support and skill development from home.

Is Telehealth ABA Therapy Right for Your Child?

This service is often a good fit when families need flexibility or when skills can be effectively practiced in the home setting.

This service may benefit children who can participate and stay engaged in virtual sessions to support:

Responding to simple instructions during structured activities.
Behavior Support:
Reducing behaviors that interfere with learning or participation.
Daily Routines:
Building skills for routines like meals, play, and transitions.
Emotional Regulation:
Managing frustration and staying calm during structured tasks.
Play and Interaction Skills:
Engaging in guided play and interactive activities.
Attention and Engagement:
Staying focused during short, structured virtual activities.

What to Expect During Therapy

Telehealth ABA sessions are structured and interactive, with a focus on real-time learning and caregiver involvement when appropriate. Therapy is designed to be practical, flexible, and easy to integrate into daily routines. Telehealth sessions are typically conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Therapist Coaching Through Video

A therapist observes through video and gives step-by-step guidance during activities, instructing you and your child one-on-one in real time.

In-Person Support

An in-person adult is always with your child during sessions, either a caregiver with BCBA coaching via video, or an Arluna clinician with virtual BCBA supervision.

Parent Training & Coaching

BCBAs observe caregiver-child interactions at home and provide guidance and instruction to help parents support their child more effectively during daily routines.

Practice Using Home Materials

Skills are built using toys, routines, and everyday items already in your home, making it easier for children to practice and generalize what they learn.

Focused, Shorter Skill Sessions

Activities are often shorter and highly structured to match attention and engagement over video.

Teaching Skills During Everyday Moments

Support is built into real routines like meals, play, or transitions, with coaching as they happen.

Helping Children Build Skills That Last

Our ABA therapy incorporates play-based learning and uses an assent-based, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming approach that respects each child’s comfort and engagement as they build communication, social, and daily living skills in meaningful ways. Families are kept informed throughout the process and provided with clear guidance and practical strategies to support progress outside of sessions.
